I am a board certified Obstetrician / Gynecologist. I have been in training or practice for 26 years. If you review my curriculum vitae, it is impressive enough. I was in the top 35 of my medical school class out of over 200. I was selected Chief Resident of the Year when I graduated my residency. I won awards for my care in the Navy and for my role as a teacher on numerous occasions. But, a lot of my colleagues have the same accolades. The first 15 years of my practice were driven by what I was taught and trained to do. The last 10 years have been driven by what I have learned through my experience and my deep desire to provide the best care that I can to those who entrust it to me. There are many of my colleagues who have become interested in a different approach to health care. This is particularly true in the D/FW Metroplex. I cannot speak to their motivations although many, unfortunately, have been drawn by the lucrative nature of this type of medicine fueled by your desire as patients to find better answers than those provided by the mainstream dogma and pharmaceutical industry. This is what led me to pursue Master's level education in Oriental Medicine as well as extensive education in Functional Medicine that can best be described as an individual biochemical approach to complex medical problems. My experience in these applications has been career altering and has reinvigorated my excitement in the practice of medicine. My work with TS Wiley over the last 6 years has changed the way I view my approach to my female patients and has allowed me really for the first time to understand and manage more effectively issues that arise from their imbalance. She once said to me "thank you for what you do for women!" In the end, it is about you, the patient. That has always been my focus. And, it always will be.
I am now excited to announce that I am back practicing hospital based medicine again as well, including obstetrics. I have missed "my babies" and am excited to be able to provide this service to those who would like that provision of care from me.
